New England Colonists, 1600-1700 Eldridge-Etheridge


James was an inhabitant of Stonington, Conn. in 1670.
Nathaniel resided at Windsor, Conn. in 1642.
Robert was at Yarmouth, Mass. in 1657.
Samuel, brother of the preceding, was at Cambridge, Mass. before going to Stonington in 1670.
William, brother of the preceding, settled at Yarmouth, Mass. in 1657.

Eliot, Elliot, or Elliott
Andrew was the son of William and came from Somersetshire, England when he settled at Beverly, Mass. in 1670.
Daniel was at Sudbury and Marlboro, Mass. in 1687.
Edmund was a planter at Salisbury, Mass. in 1652, then is found at Amesbury, Mass. by 1659.
Francis, youngest brother of the Apostle.
John was a freeman at Brainstree, Mass. in 1641.
Jacob was an elder brother of the Rev. John and came to Boston in 1631.
Rev. John, son of Bennett of Widford, Herefordshire, England and was born at Nazing, Essex, England in 1603. He was at Boston in 1631, then is found at Natick and Roxbury, Mass..
John was at Watertown, Mas. in 1633.
John took an oath of allegiance at Amesbury, Mass. in 1677.
Joseph was at New London, Conn. in 1667, then removed to Stonington, Conn..
Philip, brother of Rev. John, is found at Roxbury, Mass. in 1636.
Robert was at Casco, Maine in 1670, Scarborough, Maine in 1685 and after at Portsmouth, N.H..
William came to Ipswich, Mass. in 1634 from Salisbury, Wiltshire, England but was drowned the next year leaving no male issue.

George was a freeman at Boson in 1690.

Elithort or Elithrop
Nathaniel is at Ipswich pre-1663.

Eleazer is at Exeter, N.H. in 1677.
Gershom is found at Hampton, N.H. in 1677.
Henry was a tailor who was born in England and came to Boston in 1634.

William is found at Gloucester, Mass. in 1663.

Ralph came to Salem in 1637 and then Beverly, Mass. in 1667.

Ellins or Ellings
Anthony is found at Portsmouth, NB.H. as a Mason patentee in 1674.

John was of Welsh descent at Dedham, Mass. in 1641 and is one of the founder of Medfield, Mass. after.
John was at Sandwich, Mass. in 1641.
Joseph was a freeman in Mass. in 1663.
Richard was at Dedham, Mass. in 1650.
Roger is found at Yarmouth, Mass. pre-1648.
Thomas was born in Wrenham, England in 1629 before coming to Medfield, Mass. in 1649 with his parents.

Ellison or Ellisson
Lawrence was born in England about 1590- before settling at Watertown, Mass.. He removed to Wethersfield, Conn and by 1644, he is found at Hempstead, Li.I..

Rhodolphus came to Scituate, Mass. in 1635 at the age of 15 years.

Jeremiah was at Rowley in 1650.
Sgt. Josiah, son of John of Cambridge, England, was a merchant of London and was born in 1629. He is found in Conn. as early as 1645 and is found to have settled at Windsor, Conn. by 1654.

Elmer or Elmore
Edward was born at Quinton, Northamptonshire, England in 1604 and cam e from Braintree, England to Boston in 1632. He went to Cambridge in 1635 then to Hartford, Conn. the following year. He is one of the first settlers at Northampton, Mass. in 1654 but returned to England in 1660 to purchase lands which is now called South Windsor.

Else or Elzie
Elisha was at Newbury in 1673.
Nicholas was an inhabitant of New Haven, Conn. in 1639.
Roger came to Yarmouth, Mass. in 1643.

Elson, Elsen or Elsing
Abraham was at Wethersfield, Conn. in 1638 but left no male issue..
John, brother of the preceding, was at Wethersfield as early as 1638.

William was at Woburn, Mass. in 1690.

John came from Briston, England and is found at Middletown, Conn. pre-1672.

Robert was a resident of Dorchester, Mass. in 1634, then at Salem and Gloucester, Mass. by 1648.

Nathaniel was born at Tenterden, Kent, England in 1605 and came to Cambridge in 1632. He was an original settler at Hartford, Conn . in 1636 and one of the founders of Norwalk, Conn before going to Springfield, Mass. in 1659.
Richard was born at Hampshire, England and is found at Boston as a merchant in 1660, relocating to Lyme, Conn. after 1663.

John was a baker at Ipswich in 1635 and removed to Scituate. He is found to have been  married in 1638 at Duxbury, Mass..
Robert was the son of the above and was at Rowley in 1655 and was made a freeman at Haverhill, Mass. in 1668.
Thomas was the son of the above and also a baker as his grandfather.

Anthony, a carpenter and son of JHohn, was born at Romsey, Hants, England in 1600. He came to Mass. in 1635 and lived at Newbury before removing to  Dobver, N.H. in 1644. He is found later at Kittery, Maine and then at Portsmouth, N.H. by 1662.
James was a freeman at Kittery in 1652.
John, brother of Anthony, was born at Romsey, Hants, England in 1598 and settled at Newbury in 1635.

Henry was a resident of Boston in 1690.
Thomas is found at Newport, R.I. in 1639 and a freeman at Boston in 1652.

Gilbert was born at England in 1648 and is found at Salem by 1677.
John, born at Dorchester, England in 1589 and is at Salem in 1628.
William was an inhabitant of Boston in 1686.

John was a resident of New Haven, Conn. in 1647 before removing to Branford, Conn where he died in 1655, leaving no male issue.

Clement was at Salem in 1667.
Maudett was living in Boston in 1639.
William was a shoemaker at Ipswich in 1638 and an inhabitant of Boston in 1652.

Eno or Ennoe
James was at Windsor, Conn. in 1646.

James was at Cambridge in 1635 and then Hartford, Conn. in 1639.
Thomas was married at Scituate, Mass. in 1639 and at Duxbury in 1656.

Epes or Eppes
Daniel was the son of Daniel who came from Kent, England in 1637 to Ipswich..

Abraham was at Cambridge in 1649.
Thomas was at Lynn, Mass. in 1642, afterward at Charlestown, Mass. and then at Warwich, R.I. by 1655.

Edward was a resident of Dover, N.H. in 1658.

William died at Boston in 1697.

Esterbrook or Easterbrook
Rev. Joseph was born at Enfield, Middlesex, England in 1640 and came to Concord in 1660 and ordained in 1664.
Thomas, brother of the preceding, was born in 1620 and settled at Concord first, then at Swanzey, Mass. by 1669.

Thomas was at Providence, R.I. in 1682.

Matthew, son of Robert, of Dover, England and was born in 1645. He came to N.E. pre-1676. He is found at Dover then Portsmouth, N.H..
Richard was a weaver and brother of the preceding. He was born in England in 1647 and joined his brother at Portsmouth..
