New England Colonists, 1600-1700 Dunn-Eaton

Dunn

Richard was a freeman at Newport, R.I. in 1655 before removing to R.I. in 1661.
Thomas is found to have been a freeman  at Mass. in 1647, removing to Rehoboth, Mass. then to New Haven, Conn. and Fairfield, Conn. from 1648 onward.

Dunning

George was in New Haven, Conn. in 1641.
Hicks was at Hingham, Mass. pre-1669.

Dunster

Rev. Henry, son of Henry (of Barry Lancashire, England) and came to Boston in 1640, after to Scituate, Mass..
Richard, brother of Rev. Henry, was at Cambridge, Mass. in 1642.

Dunton

Nathaniel is found at Reading, Mass. in 1647.
Samuel, brother to Nathaniel, settled at Reading pre-1644.

Durand

John is found at Scituate, Mass. in 1659.
John, physician and of Huguenot descent, settled at Derby, Conn. in 1685 and is then found at Stratford, Conn..

Durant

George lived at Malden, Mass. in 1662 and moved to Middletown, Conn. in 1666.

Duren

George was at Lynne, Conn. by 1685.

Durfee

Thomas was born in 1643 at England before coming to Portsmouth, R.I. in 1660.

Durgin

John is found at Ipswich, Mass. pre-1689.
William was at Dover, N.H. in 1664 and then removed to Ipswich, Mass..

Durham

Humphrey was at Casco, Maine in 1658 but was killed by Indians in 1676 at Casco.
Thomas was at Marshfield, Mass. in 1659.

Durren or Durrum

Ephraim was at Guilford, Conn. in 1672.

Durrell

Philip, of French descent, came from the Isle of Guernsey, England to Exeter, N.H. in 1675 before settling at Kennebunkport, Maine in 1700.

Duston

Josiah was at Reading, Mass. in 1647.
Thomas was at Dover, N.H. in 1640, then at Kittery, Maine.

Dutch

Robert was first at Ipswich, then at Gloucester, Mass. prior to 1646. He was "shot in the skull and scalped and marked by Indian Hatchetts" but lived to tell the tale.
Thomas was at Edgartown, Mass. in 1654.

Dutton

John was born at England and a descendant of Hodard(of the era of William the Conqueror).He came to New England in 1630 and later moved to Reading.

Duty

William was at Rowley, Mass. in 1691.

Dwelley

Richard was first at Watertown, Mass., then at Hingham, Lancaster by 1654 and at Scituate by 1663.

Dwight

John, was born at England and came from Dedham, England to Dedham, Mass. in 1635.
Timothy, brother of the preceding, is found at Hampton, N.H. in 1640, then lived at Medfield, Mass. for many years.

Dwinnell

Michael was of Scotch ancestry, of French origin, and is found at Topsfield, Mass. in 1668.

Dyer

Giles was a resident of Boston in 1680.
Johnm was born in England in 1607 and is found at New London, Conn. pre-1650, removing to L.I. later in life.
Deacon Thomas was a cloth-worker and born in England in 1611. He went to Weymouth in 1632.
William, milliner from London, England, came to Boston in 1635. He then went to Portsmouth, R.I. in 1638 and is found to have been one of the eight signers to to the Compact of Newport, R.I. in 1639.
William is found at Sheepscott, Maine in 1665.
William was at Barnstable, Mass. earlier then 1686.
William was an inhabitant of Lynn, Mass. pre-1673.

Dymoke

Elder Thomas came from Pinchback, England to Dorchester, Mass. in 1635, removed to Hingham, Mass. in 1638 and at Barnstable, Mass. in 1639.

Eames or Emmes

Capt. Anthony was born at Dorsetshire, England in 1595 and is found at Charlestown in 1634. He is then found at Hingham, Mass. by 1636 and lastly at Marshfield, Mass. in 1650.
Gersham was at Marlborough, Mass. pre-1671, died at Watertown, Mass. in 1676 leaving no male heir.
Henry was a freeman at Boston in 1684.
Isaac, see Mary below.
Jacob, see Mary below.
John was at Woburn, Mass. pre-1690.
Mary Eames is found to have been captured by the Indians during King Philips War along with her brothers. The two brothers were killed but Mary survived to marry and bear children.
Robert was at Charlestown, Mass. in 1651 and is taxed at Woburn, Mass. by 1666.
Thomas was a brickmaker and mason who was born around 1618 at England at Stratford-on-Avon, England. He came to New England in 1630 and settled at Dedham in the same year. He is found at Medford, Cambridge, Sudbury and Framingham, Mass. later in life.

Earle

Ralph was born in England in 1606 and is found at Newport, R.I. in 1638, Portsmouth, R.I. in 1649 and by 1686, he is living in Dartmouth, Mass..
Robert came to New England in 1634 and located at Newport, R.I. shortly after.

East

Franklin was a carpenter at Boston in 1637.
William is at Milford, Conn. in 1639 but left no male issue.

Eastman

Roger was a house carpenter and the son of John of Romsey, Hampshire, England. He was born at Wales in 1611 and came from Langford, Wiltshire, England in 1638 to settle at Salisbury, Mass. between 1640-1643.

Eastbrook

Thomas was born at Enfield, Middlesex, England before settling at Concord, Mass. in 1660.

Easton

Joseph was born around 1602 at England and is found at Cambridge in 1635. He then went to Hartford, Conn with Hooker's Colony the next year.

Nicholas was a tanner who came from Wales in 1634. He was at Ipswich then Newbury, Mass. and finally to R.I. by 1638.
Wiliam was at Newbury in 1633 before removing to Hampton, N.H. the same year, leaving no male issue.

Easty or Esty

Jeffrey was granted land at Salem in 1637.

Eaton
Francis was a Mayflower passenger and a carpenter who removed to Duxbury, Mass. in 1633.  Read below for interesting facts about Francis.

John was born in England in 16511 before removing to Watertown, Mass and Dedham, Mass. between 1635-1636.
John was a stove manufacturer at Salisbury, Mass. in 1639 and removed to Haverhill, Mass. by 1646.
Jonas was the son of Peter and brother of William who settled pre-1637 at Watertown before removing to Reading, Mass. in 1647.
Peter, son of William and 20th generation from Bangue Thane of Lochabar in the year 1000. He settled at Watertown in 1637 and then to Reading in 1644.

Bangue Thane...real or not? Here is a little teaser about this man, with many authorities denying his existence. This historian believes he existed and am willing to prove it if anyone would like the proof.

Theophilus was the son of Richard who was the vicar of Great Badworth Cheshire. He was born at Stony Stratford, Bucks, England and came to New England in 1637. He is found at Boston the same year and removed to New Haven, Conn. by 1638.

Thomas was a freeman at Dedham in 1681.
William was born in England on 1604 and was the brother of Peter. He came from Staples, Kent, England to Watertown in 1637 before removing to Reading in 1644.
